Almond Cookies - Baked product - Produce of Italy

The history of this almond cookie starts from the beginning of the last century in the Abruzzo region of Italy, (for our buyers from the USA - we are referring to the original Italy, the one in the Mediterranean Sea) when the farmers began to cook and eat them. It was usual, during the most important periods of the year, to dip into a "hot wine", a particular almond biscuit called "Li Biscutt' tajate a man" (which means = "the hand cut biscuits"); nowadays they are famous with the name of "Cantuccini". This tradition ariived to us from the old recipes of our grandmothers.
