Cantucci D'Abruzzo alla Mandorla - falcone
Almond Cookies - Baked product - Produce of Italy
These are individually wrapped - as per photo - poor photo - sorry ! - don't ask me to take your wedding photos :-(
The history of this almond cookie starts from the beginning of the last century in the Abruzzo region when the farmers began to cook and eat them. It was usual during the most important periods of the year to dip inside a "hot wine" particular almond biscuit called "Li Biscutt' tajate a man" (which means = "the hand cut biscuits"), nowadays they are famous with the name of "Cantuccini". This tradition ariived to us from the old recipes of our grandmothers.
