Anti Spiking - Anti Tamper - Stoppers by Spikey - help prevent drinks from being spiked in pubs, bars and at parties.

A brightly coloured plastic "use once only" stopper that glows in UV light so everyone can see that the drink has been protected.

Once inserted into the neck of a bottle 'Spikey', cannot easily, be removed, creating a seal that helps stop pills and illicit substances (Rohypnol, GHB, more alcohol etc) being slipped into the drink. A hole in the top of the device is just big enough for a straw to pass through. The straw cannot easily, be tampered with.

For 'Spikey' to be effective, it must be fully inserted into the neck of the bottle. Holding a straw close to the bottom, it should then be pushed through the centre of the 'Spikey'. Please look at all pictures of this listing. (You will, of course, receive 'Instructions for use', with your order)

When a drink is spiked, it means that alcohol and/or drugs, (illicit or prescription) have been added to the drink, without the persons knowledge or approval. Drink spiking is often done with sexual abuse in mind. The substance can be added to any drink, including soft drinks, juice, water or alcohol. The practice is illegal and potentially deadly to the person whose drink is spiked.

Alcohol, is the most common substance used to spike drinks. It is used, either by adding it to a non alcoholic drink or, by adding extra amounts to an alcoholic drink.

Prescription drugs, are also frequently used, including benzodiazepines, barbiturates, muscle relaxants and hypnotics, such as Serapax, Valium and Rohypnol. Rohypnol, now has a reputation as being one of the most common prescription drugs used in drink spiking cases.

Illicit drugs, such as Ecstasy, LSD, Fantasy, (also known as Liquid Ecstasy or GHB), Ketamine and other party drugs, are known to be used. People appear high or revved up when they have been affected by a party drug. GHB is particularly nasty, because it can cause serious breathing problems. People cannot sleep it off, they need to get medical assistance immediately !
